Carpet cleaning in Donegal: cost, method, drying time

Carpets don’t get dirty overnight, so you stop seeing it. Then one clean room shows you what the rest look like.

Prices

  • Synthetic carpet €10 per m²
  • Wool and natural fibres €15 per m²
  • Stairs and landing €120
  • Downstairs hall €10 per m²

The final price is confirmed after measuring the room, but a photo and rough dimensions get you a close figure straight away.

What extraction takes out

Trapped dust, allergens, traffic marks and whatever has been walked in since the carpet went down. It is pulled out, not pushed around. The carpet comes up fresh and soft underfoot, and the grey traffic lane by the door usually disappears.

The job: deep vacuum, stains pre-treated, hot water extraction. For wool, coir and sisal I use a low-moisture method, because natural fibres don’t like being soaked.

Stairs first

Every foot in the house goes over the stairs and landing, so that is where the wear shows first, and where the difference is most obvious. Plenty of people start there and do the rooms later.

Drying

Usually 2–4 hours. Open a window or put the heating on and it’s quicker. Wool takes a bit longer than synthetic.

Stains, honestly

Most lift. Old ones on natural fibres are the hardest, and I won’t promise a result I can’t see from a photo. Heavy furniture stays where it is; small pieces I move.

How often

Once a year for most homes. Every six months with dogs, cats, small children, or anyone with allergies or asthma. If you’re booking a deep clean anyway, carpets on the same visit cost less.

Send me a photo of the carpet and rough room sizes. You get a fixed price back the same day.
