Donegal windows get salt, rain spots and green film faster than anywhere inland. Here is what window cleaning costs, what a proper job includes and how often it’s worth doing.
Prices
- From €35 for a visit (outside, typical semi).
- €8 per window inside, both sides of the glass, frames and sills included.
- Conservatories, Velux and hard-to-reach glass: quoted after a look at a photo.
- Combined with a deep clean, inside windows are already included.
What’s included
Glass, frames, sills and tracks. Outside with a pure-water finish so there are no streaks and no drying marks. Inside by hand, with the sills and handles done. Fly screens and blinds dusted if they’re in the way.
How often in Donegal
Coastal and windward houses: every 6–8 weeks keeps the salt haze from etching the glass. In town, every 2–3 months. Once a year before Christmas and once after the winter is the minimum most people settle on.
Gutters at the same time
If I’m up a ladder anyway, gutters are from €80 (two-storey €110–140): cleared, downpipes checked, debris taken away, photos sent. Doing both on one visit is the sensible way. Window cleaning details.
